I did not click on the link to see the video, but I can ascertain info based on what has been presented by you and the OP.

I think it only logical to say that if you don't care about the issues, don't vote. If everybody who didn't care one way or the other which way a measure went voted, we'd end up with a measure through meaningless randomness. Is this what you want Doug?

Doug, are you saying that people should vote whether or not that have a preference, opinion, or care about an issue?

Maybe what you mean to say is that "Wow, I wish the youth of today would be concerned about the issues", or "Wow, I wish the end result of a decided measure would be comprised compromise of those that understand and care about the issue".

However, you didn't say that, so you just come off as ignorant. Doug, do you want to be seen as ignorant?

Also, even if you cannot see the simple logic and truth behind what I just said, I'd have to guess that the celebrities are saying "don't vote" to drive home the importance that not voting means you have no care or opinion about these issues, and conversely voting, would be THE act to change these issues - if you wish.

Again, I have not seen the video, yet I can probably guess I've "seen" more of it than you.

Why don't you open your mind beyond the things that are easily bloggable. If you cannot take 30 seconds to absorb the post at hand and form knowledgeable input - then don't input. Don't comment Doug. Why Comment? Why do it? Don't do it Doug. But, if you are going to take the time to use your brain, the go ahead, we welcome you.

Lastly, if your end to just comment to proliferate your link to your nonsense, then make your comments more valuable.

Thanks for the comment, Doug.

I understand your point, but these celebrities weren't pushing their opinion on any issues. The ad is directed at the youth, and who else will the youth listen to than seemingly "cool" people?

Also, I "pretend to be other people" sometimes. Although, I'm not wealthy at all. Do I still qualify as someone who may know about these issues?

Because nobody knows more about social issues, economic issues, the war on terror, healthcare, etc. than wealthy people that pretend to be other people for a living. Wow.
